This versatile paint adheres beautifully to a wide range of surfaces, including timber, melamine, laminate, metal, glass, plastic and even fabric.

Surface Preparation

Surfaces should be cleaned with Artisan Easy Scrub, and lightly scuff sanded.  For ultra-slick manufactured surfaces such as melamine and laminate, we recommend applying Artisan Quick Prep first. This improves adhesion, blocks odours, prevents tannin bleed-through and enhances colour vibrancy for the best possible finish.

Specialty Effects & Finishing

Artisan Mineral Paint works seamlessly with all Artisan specialty products, including Glazes, Instant Age, Pearl and Metallics. These allow you to easily create layered finishes, aged effects, pearlescent looks and decorative techniques.

There is no requirement to seal Artisan Mineral Paint. However, you may choose to use any of the Artisan sealers or glazes to customise sheen, protection or decorative effects.
